Spartan Code ("the App") is a private, on-device reflective journal for iOS, published by 4DAT LLC. This policy explains what data the App collects, stores, and how it is handled.

What data the App collects

Reflection entries — text, titles, tags, dates, and optional photos you write or import. These are stored entirely on your device using iOS local storage.
Passcode / biometric data — if you enable the optional App Lock feature, your passcode is stored locally on your device using Apple's Keychain. Biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID) is handled entirely by iOS; the App never accesses or stores biometric data.
Photos — if you import a photo into a reflection entry, the image data is saved locally on your device. The original photo is only deleted from your camera roll if you explicitly enable the "delete original after import" option.

What data the App does NOT collect

No data is transmitted to any server.
No account is required.
No analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting is sent externally.
No advertising identifiers (IDFA) are used.
No location data is collected.

In-App Purchases

The App offers optional one-time in-app purchases (e.g., SPARTAN CODE: RED, Spartan Handbook) to unlock additional content. All purchase transactions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. The App does not collect or store any payment information. Purchase receipts are validated locally on device.

Children's Privacy

The App is rated 17+ due to mature content themes related to combat, military service, and post-traumatic reflection. The App is not directed at children under 17 and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Data storage and security

All data is stored locally on your iOS device. Data is not backed up to any external server controlled by this App. If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device, iOS may include App data in your personal iCloud backup, which is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Your control over data

You can delete all App data at any time from within the App (Privacy tab → Delete All Local Data) or by uninstalling the App. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data from your device.
